We're teaming up with Barista KC to help contribute to the virtual tip jar they have started for the local barista community. We've been wanting to help with this outlet, also, but have been trying to figure out how to generate the most revenue straight to the source. We decided to do a "virtual" KC Caffeine Crawl where all revenue goes straight to the Barista KC virtual tip jar.
We need your help KC barista community, if interested. We are going to collect 1 video from each participating shop. Each video needs to be between 1 and 7 minutes. We prefer a barista as the feature on the video, and the subject matter can be anything coffee or tea related from recipes, brewing, coffee facts, etc. Working on setting up the website now to submit video files, and will pass those instructions along. Deadline to submit to us is April 27th so we can get it live and out to the masses on May 1.
++++
HOW IT WORKS: The basic idea copies our Caffeine Crawl route creations. We will pair 5 different shops on a "route". If we receive enough videos there will be multiple routes to choose from. We'll post each route access on a private password page on this website. When a donation is made of $6 to the virtual tip jar, and that email receipt is sent to us, we'll unlock access to the selected route from the individual who made the donation. If multiple routes, they will be mix-n-match based on subject matter, so not all 5 videos are the same focus, and each route is unique with a different lineup. This will also encourage purchasing of multiple routes in order to have access to more videos. For KC, we're setting it up for routes to cost $6. Industry can have free access. We'll also encourage other cities to do this for their coffee community through a source in that city - we're creating those instructions below.
SUBMITTING VIDEO: We have a Dropbox folder to submit your video to. Contact us with your interest and we'll give you access to that folder.
++++
This event will not replace our plans to have a KC spring Crawl in late May. More on that idea in a week or so. Continue to take care and stay safe. Let me know if you have any questions - thanks.
