Caffeine Crawl Portland Cold Brew Competition
~ Competition Information ~
~ Cost ~
Attendees must have a ticket to attend - free for non-competing beverage industry, $5 pre-registration or $10 at the door.
To enter to compete - $15 entry fee per category.
A company may enter multiple categories.
There will be a $50 penalty fee for entrants who do not show up.
~ Format ~
Competitors will have 30 minutes to set up. Each competitor will receive a 3" square/round serving area and under-the-table space for storage. Each competitor will be provided signage for their station by The LAB, and must submit company name and beverage(s) entered for this signage. Competitors may bring table coverage, and a reasonable amount of additional promotional material - companies utilizing excessive advertising at their table will be asked to scale back, as this event should be fun, comfortable and community focused.
Competitors must bring all of their own brewing materials, sample cups, and any additional gear required for their setup.
Serving sizes should be around 2-5 oz. per sample pour. Attendees will have voter ballots and will be encouraged to vote at the end of each session.
Espresso bar menu items will be offered at a discount from Groundwork Coffee,
and beer will be provided by Rogue Ales & Spirits.
~ Scoring ~
Each competitor will be assigned a time slot to be visited by 3 industry judges. Competitors can explain their drink(s) quickly and answer any questions, but no need for a performance, display scores, or timed presentations. Each competitor will receive 3 scores from the judges, as well as attendee voter ballot scores. Competitors will receive scoring categories and point system before the event, and attendee ballots will be simplified to a single entry choice per category.
~ Prizes ~
Currently a large gift basket of prizes for the winner of each category from Ally Coffee, Baratza, Barista Magazine, Bodum, Boxo, Groundwork Coffee, Jasmine Pearl, Rogue Ale & Spirits, The LAB/Caffeine Crawl, Water Ave. Coffee, and cash.
More prizes added daily.

~ Competition Registration ~
You may enter up to 4 categories, and you may select all categories you are entering at once before checking out. Each business may only enter each category once. Each entry will be automatically entered into the "Fan Favorite" category. *IMPORTANT NOTE* - You must provide your name and the name of the business you are representing in the "Notes" section at check out to complete your registration.
Registration Cold BrewThis secures your entry into the Cold Coffee Celebration "Cold Brew" category. You may enter and serve any type of cold brew (coffee & water served flat, bottled or canned and can be on nitro). No ingredients outside water and coffee.

Registration Signature Cold DrinkThis secures your entry into the Cold Coffee Celebration "Signature Cold Drink" category. You may enter and serve any type of signature cold drink (cold brew coffee with other non-alcoholic ingredients infused and/or used).

Registration Coffee BeerThis secures your entry into the Cold Coffee Celebration "Coffee Beer" category. You may enter and serve your coffee beer (coffee, beer and any other ingredients infused and/or used). Open to home brewers.

Registration - Cold Brew TeaThis secures your entry into the Caffeine Crawl Portland Cold Brew Competition "Cold Brew Tea" Category. You may enter and serve any type of tea prepared via a cold brew method. Entries in this category will automatically be entered into the "Fan Favorite" category.
